Learn to Roll a Kayak: Pool Course

This intermediate/advanced course is geared towards experienced paddlers or those who have previously taken a rescue course with us or another company as self rescue in a requirement for this class. Our Learn to Roll course can be customized to cover basic to advanced rolls, depending on student requests. Please note that we only cover rolling in this course. Being able to do a wet exit and self rescue is a must before signing up for this class as you will need the full two hours to concentrate on learning the roll.

Included with the course, at no extra cost, is a digital download of Cheri Perry & Turner Wilson’s “This is the Roll” movie (valued at $30). This 150 minute instructional film is aimed at anyone trying to learn their first roll or those who are looking to improve their current roll, and contains step-by-step instruction on how to do 3 different rolls – the standard Greenland roll, the reverse sweep, and the storm roll.

Participants will receive a download code a week before their course.

Participant/Instructor ratio is 4:1 with a max of 8 students with 2 instructors

What to bring: bathing suit and towel. Nose plugs, goggles or mask if wanted (it helps). All other equipment will be provided. There is no need to bring your receipt, but please do bring photo ID. No personal Kayaks will be allowed for use during these courses.

Refund Policy

We understand that things come up and that you may need to cancel your spot in the course. We will gladly refund the full cost of the course or move you to another date, with 48 hours notice. Refunds will not be issued for courses that are cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.
