Ted Bell pioneered the use of arched seat drops. Arched drops work like a bridge to prevent seat sway. Over time seat sway will damage gunwales and ruin seats.
Take care of your canoe by replacing your dowels with arched drops. Comes with four 6″ bolts. Drops are drilled 8″ on center.
Seat drops may need to be slightly cut down for wood trim canoes.
