Custom ordering gives you the opportunity to select the material, trim, colours, pattern design, outfitting, and features that best suit your needs. Whether you're an experienced wilderness paddler or just investing in the canoe you've always wanted, our team will help you build a canoe you'll be proud to paddle for years to come.
With the help of Nova Craft Canoes, the current lead time on custom canoes is a minimum of 6 weeks.

How to Order: Custom Canoes
We work directly with Nova Craft Canoe, giving you access to a wide range of customization options. Whether you know exactly what you're looking for or need some guidance, our team will walk you through each decision to ensure your canoe is built to match your paddling style and needs.
With a custom Nova Craft canoe, you can personalize features including but not limited to:
- Hull colours from the full RAL Colour Wheel
- Custom graphics, patterns, and logos
- Trim and outfitting options
- Seating and yoke configurations (model dependent)
- Material and construction options
Once you've finalized your design, we'll submit the order to Nova Craft and keep you updated throughout the production process. When your canoe arrives at The Complete Paddler, we'll contact you to arrange pickup or discuss delivery options.

How to Order: Custom Kayaks
Designing your custom P&H Sea Kayak is simple. P&H offers an online configurator that gives you complete control over your kayak's appearance and outfitting, allowing you to create a boat that's uniquely yours.
Once you've finalized your design, simply download or save your completed order form from the P&H configurator and email it to us. We'll review your selections, confirm pricing, discuss estimated timelines, and answer any questions before placing your order with P&H.
Planning Ahead
P&H Sea Kayaks are built to order, and production timelines require planning well in advance.
- Spring 2027 delivery: Orders must be placed by October 2026.
- Summer 2027 delivery: Orders must be placed by January 2027.
These dates are based on previous production schedules and are intended to give your kayak the best chance of arriving for your desired season.

Understanding Timelines
Every custom canoe and kayak is built specifically for you, which means production timelines can vary throughout the year. While we'll always provide our best estimate based on the manufacturer's current production schedule, we cannot guarantee a delivery date.
As soon as your order is finalized, we submit it to the manufacturer, typically the same day. From that point forward, your boat enters the manufacturer's production queue.
Because each boat is built to order, delivery timelines may be affected by factors outside of our control, including:
- Production schedules and manufacturing delays
- Material or component availability
- Quality control processes
- International shipping and transportation delays
- Customs processing and freight logistics
- Seasonal demand and production volume
We'll stay in regular contact with the manufacturer and provide updates as they become available, keeping you informed throughout the process. Our goal is to ensure you always have the most accurate information possible.
We understand that many customers are planning trips, races, or a season on the water, which is why we always recommend ordering well in advance whenever possible. While we can't promise an exact arrival date, placing your order early gives you the best chance of having your canoe or kayak ready when you need it.
