Stephan Kesting is an adventurer, jiu-jitsu practitioner, and firefighter who grew up canoeing in Ontario.
Since that time, Stephan has criss-crossed the North for 40 years, often doing solo trips into the Arctic. He has also worked as a canoe and raft guide, leading groups through the remote wilderness. As a firefighter he has received the National Medal of Bravery for rushing into a burning warehouse to save two trapped colleagues.
In the canoeing world Stephan is probably best known for his 1,600 km solo expedition through Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Nunavut tundra after receiving a life-saving kidney transplant. This trip was detailed in his nail-biting book, Perseverance, Life and Death in the Subarctic.
You'll be on the edge of your chair as you listen, learn and engage with Stephan. Don't miss out!
