Sunset Guided Kayak Tour - July 8th 2026

Experience Toronto from a whole new perspective.

Time: 6:30pm-9:30pm

Location: Cherry Beach (Toronto East End)

Join us for a relaxing evening paddle to the Toronto Islands as the sun sets behind the city skyline. This guided tour is perfect for beginner and newer paddlers looking to build confidence on the water while taking in one of Toronto’s most spectacular views. It’s also a great opportunity for experienced paddlers to connect with fellow paddling enthusiasts and enjoy a memorable evening on the water.

After meeting at Cherry Beach (TTC accessible), we'll begin with a brief orientation covering equipment, paddling basics, and on-water safety. Once everyone is comfortable, we'll launch and make our way across to the Toronto Islands at a relaxed pace.

Along the way, we'll stop for photos and take in the changing colours of the sunset over the city. We'll also take a break on Snake Island to stretch our legs, enjoy a light snack, and soak in the incredible views before beginning our return journey.

As darkness falls, we'll paddle back beneath the glow of Toronto's skyline, a truly unique experience that showcases the city from a completely different angle.

This tour is designed to help newer paddlers develop their skills and gain the confidence needed to continue exploring local waterways on their own.

Boat Rentals

While we encourage participants to bring their own kayak we understand that not everyone has access to their own equipment. Unsure if your kayak is right for this tour? Just ask!

Rental boats are available for this tour and can be selected during registration. We'll transport the equipment to the launch site, have it set up and ready for your arrival, and take care of the logistics after the tour so you can simply show up and enjoy your evening on the water.

Weather Policy

This tour is weather dependent. If conditions are unsafe or the tour is cancelled, participants will receive a credit toward a future tour date.

All participants will receive an email confirmation before the course date.
