Originally designed by the Chestnut Canoe Company, the Bob Special was developed to meet the need for a lightweight canoe well suited to solo tripping and casual tandem paddling. Its generous width provides excellent stability, while the efficient hull design delivers impressive speed and performance.

Nova Craft's Bob Special is based on the classic Chestnut design, with refinements that enhance speed and seaworthiness. Ideal for tandem day trips and capable of handling weekend adventures, it also excels as a solo canoe in the hands of an experienced paddler. The Bob Special offers a unique combination of stability, efficiency, and versatility that appeals to both novice and seasoned paddlers alike.

Aramid Lite canoes are the lightest models in Nova Craft's lineup, designed specifically for flatwater tripping and wilderness travel. Constructed by infusing Twaron® aramid fabric with a high-impact-resistant vinylester resin, they offer an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio.
